As air is heated, its relative humidity decreases. Because ventilation air from outside must be heated more in the winter, the air in your home can become very dry. This can cause problems such as dry skin, irritation of the airways and static electricity.

evap pro 800 and 1500

The Evap Pro is the ideal solution! The Evap Pro is a safe, energy-efficient humidifier that can be connected to a Brink heat recovery ventilation unit, such as the Flair. The Evap Pro ensures that the filtered air brought into the home by the ventilation unit is also optimally humidified. The Evap Pro is installed as a system module in the supply duct after the HRV unit. It is fully automatic and is available in two versions: the Evap Pro 800 and 1500.

AN OPTIMAL INDOOR CLIMATE IN EVERY SEASON

If the home is fitted with a ventilation system with an enthalpy exchanger that proves to be insufficient, the Evap Pro can also be used as an extra humidifier. This is particularly relevant in countries where the temperature can fall as low as -15 °C in the winter. The Evap Pro is also an excellent choice in milder climates and in combination with a ventilation system with a standard heat exchanger. The Evap Pro can also be combined with the Evap Air Cooler system module: a smart addition to the HRV system that also cools in the summer. This combination guarantees an optimum indoor climate in every season.

For which situations is the Evap Pro suitable?

The Evap Pro humidifier is available in two versions, depending on the average winter temperature:

  • Evap 800 Pro: suitable for mild winters (to -5 °C)
  • Evap 1500 Pro: suitable for colder winters (below -5 °C)

Benefits

  • Efficient humidification with automatic operation
  • Can be directly connected to the HRV unit; easy to maintain
  • Fits any central HRV ventilation system
  • Improves comfort in the winter with low operating costs
  • Hygienic and safe
  • Combine with the Evap Air Cooler for extra comfort in the summer

How does the Evap Pro humidifier work?

For optimum comfort, the relative humidity (RH) in your home should be between 40% and 60%. If the outdoor temperature is low, the relative humidity can fall below 40%. The Evap Pro humidifier is automatically activated if the outside temperature drops below 12 °C. The humidifier automatically humidifies the air that has been filtered and has passed through the heat exchanger in the ventilation unit. This guarantees even greater comfort. This is particularly important during the winter months, when the indoor humidity level often drops. The Evap Pro maintains the optimum humidity level in your home. Because the humidifier is connected to the water supply, there is no need to fill it with water by hand.

It works based on the natural water evaporation process (adiabatically). The dry air flows through a water-absorbing glass fibre matrix and absorbs the water vapour from the humid surface.

This raises the relative humidity of the incoming ventilation air. The built-in heater increases the capacity and performance, but only if necessary. This process is highly efficient and uses very little energy. The humidifier works fully automatically and silently. You can check its operation using the optional controller.

Safe and hygienic

The humidifier comes with a Legiosafe water filter as standard to prevent Legionella contamination and to guarantee a safe and healthy indoor climate. The Legiosafe water filter is automatically backwashed at regular intervals and any pollutants are discharged through the sewer system. The water supply capacity is limited to prevent excessive humidification. Lime and other pollutants in the tap water remain in cassette and do not enter the home. The only required maintenance is periodically exchanging the replacement cassette with Legiosafe. After each service, the humidifier is as good as new.
