Our Elan series of air heaters are available as a hybrid or all-electric solution, and can be combined with various brands of heat pump or central heating boiler. Given the increasing level of demand for air heating solutions and the need to be able to cool properties, our range includes both ready-to-use hybrid and all-electric heat pump sets. These total solutions have an Elan air heater and an ATAG heat pump, ATAG being (like Brink) part of the Ariston Group. This collaboration allows us to make it really easy for you, and we can guarantee a perfect indoor climate in any season.

AIR HEATING AND A HEAT PUMP: A GREAT MATCH

The new generation of air heaters in combination with a heat pump offers extensive options for climate control with air. Air heating means you’re ready to face the future, plus all the benefits of air heating, such as rapidly reaching the desired temperature in your home, freedom in your floor finish and easily integrated cooling, as heat pumps can usually also cool water. Even ventilation with heat recovery can be easily integrated, as we can use the same air ducts.

For new projects and replacement

The ready-to-use total solutions for climate control with air are suitable for both new-build properties and for renovation projects in existing properties (replacement).

For gas-free new-build properties a heat pump is really the only viable solution; for existing properties, a heat pump can work as an auxiliary solution to a central heating boiler or can replace it, which gives you a number of choices to make. Will you remain on gas for the moment, do you want to become less dependent on gas or go gas free?

A hybrid heat pump can, for instance, even replace an existing Allure gas-fired air heater. That way it is also possible to install an Elan air heater which is fit for the future, being hybrid-ready.

FROM GAS-FIRED TO HEAT PUMP

The existing central heating boiler, on-demand water heater or boiler can be replaced with a hybrid or all-electric ATAG heat pump. This appliance delivers central heating water for the Brink Elan air heater. The ATAG central heating boiler can also deliver hot tap water. The smart configuration between the central heating boiler and the air/water heat pump guarantees comfort and a good indoor climate with the lowest energy costs all the time.

Cooling with a combination of Elan and heat pump

There is an increasing need for cooling of the property in the summer months. A significant advantage of the Elan air heater is that it is possible to provide cool air in combination with a heat pump. An optional cooling block can be added to the Elan 10.16 2.0 and 25 2.1. This is not necessary in the case of the Elan 25 3.0, as the cooling function is already integrated into the air heater. This option allows you to create comfort and a perfect indoor climate in each season.

CAN BE PERFECTLY COMBINED WITH HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATION (HRV)

It’s just a small step to immediately include ventilation. The air ducts for heating and ventilation are combined. And, this way you can make use of the benefits of ventilation with heat recovery straight away.

On high-summer days when the temperature outside is higher than that indoors, heat recovery works the other way around. The warm ambient air is pre-cooled before entering the property.

ATAG ENERGION HEAT PUMPS: HYBRID OR ALL-ELECTRIC

The ready-to-use heat pump sets with an Elan air heater have a hybrid or all-electric ATAG Energion heat pump (5 kW, 8 kW and 12 kW). A hybrid heat pump together with an (existing or new) central heating boiler. An all-electric heat pump works completely independently of the gas system as it uses electricity. All-electric heating can - due to the limited capacity of a heat pump - only be used in new-build properties or very well-insulated properties.

Which ready-to-use sets are available?

There are 6 ready-to-use heat pump sets available. Which Elan air heater is suitable for your home depends on the need in the property:

Elan + ATAG hybrid 50 (5 kW), 80T (8kW), 120T (12 kW)
Elan + ATAG all-electric 50 (5 kW), 80T (8kW), 120T (12 kW)

These basic sets include the essential components for each project. In addition, there is also the freedom to choose your own optional accessories.

ELAN 10/16 2.0 AND ELAN 25 2.1 Title

This Elan series of indirectly-fired air heaters can be combined with a central heating boiler (existing or otherwise) or as a hybrid solution. In this situation, the central heating boiler is combined with a heat pump, or you can opt for all-electric with just a heat pump. A gas-fired installation can be expanded now or in the future with a heat pump for heating and cooling. A water cooling block is available as an optional extra for the Elan 16 2.0 and the Elan 25 2.1.

The indirectly-fired Elan 35 3.0 air heater, like the Elan 25 2.1, can heat, but can also cool with cold water via an air/water heat pump.
